Applying

Starting an application and what to expect.

You can begin with our online application form — it takes about five minutes to complete. Once submitted, a member of our team will be in touch to guide you through the next steps.

If you'd rather speak to someone first, you can also contact us by email at applications@loans.gi and we'll arrange a conversation.

We consider a range of borrowing needs. The right amount always depends on your situation — during the application process we'll help you think through what makes sense and is sustainable for you.

Our service is designed for people living and working in Gibraltar. If you have a specific situation that sits outside that, we'd still welcome a conversation to see if we can help.

Information & checks

What you'll share and how we use it.

We start with just the basics — your name, contact details, and a short note about what you're looking for. If your application progresses, we may ask for supporting information such as proof of income, identification, and address.

We'll always tell you clearly what's needed and why.

An initial enquiry doesn't affect your credit file. If we move to a full application that involves a credit check, we'll explain this before it happens so there are no surprises.

We take data protection seriously. Your information is used only for your application and associated support, in line with Gibraltar's data protection regulations and our Privacy Policy.

Process & timing

What happens and when.

Every application is different, so we don't quote a fixed turnaround. Once we understand your situation, we'll give you a realistic idea of timings and keep you updated throughout.

After you submit your application, you'll receive an acknowledgement and a member of our team will be in touch. From there, we'll walk you through each step clearly and give you space to ask questions along the way.

If we're not able to proceed, we'll tell you clearly and respectfully. Wherever we can, we'll explain the reasons and point you towards any alternative steps that might be helpful.
